Problematic Adapters
Airimba has identified the following wireless adapters as problematic because they have poor receive sensitivity, low transmit power, or overall poor performance:
- Apple Airport/Airport Extreme wireless adapter - low receive sensitivity and low transmit power
- Most USB Sticks from Belkin, Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, Buffalo -low receive sensitivity, low transmit power, and weak internal antenna
- Some early Dell internal wireless adapters and early Intel Centrino wireless adapters - low transmit power and low receive sensitivity
